Central Community Hospital has an opening for a full-time Paramedic. Shift available is three 12-hour shifts working out of our Emergency Department. Hours of this position will be varied. Basic function of this position is to respond to 911 calls and interfacility and tiered transfer requests, provide direct patient care within the Central Ambulance service-area. Under general supervision of a Registered Nurse, assist with delegated tasks of direct and indirect patient care within CCH’s Emergency Department. Initiate and provide care within the scope of practice as defined by law providing emergency care to a wide range of patients including pediatric, adult, and geriatric. HCHC EMS is a hospital-based ALS service, which in conjunction with a strong network of volunteer first responders, provides high-quality emergency medical services to all of Henry County. In addition to 911 responses, we provide basic, advanced and critical care transport for patients from HCHC and other local facilities to tertiary care facilities. Between emergency responses and interfacility transports, we respond to approximately 2,000 calls per year.
