enrolled in EMS training in the State of Iowa.
BENEFITS OF STUDENT MEMBERSHIP:
This membership is for one year
and entitles the student to receive:
An invitation to attend
the Annual
IEMSA Conference and Trade Show held in November each year at
the CCCU Memorial Building/Iowa Event Center at no charge for Friday and Saturday
Classes only. Lunch and Pre-Conference Workshops are not included in this
benefit. You will NOT receive credit for classes you are attending. If you
need credit for the classes, you will need to register as a paid attendee.
All Student IEMSA Members
wishing to use this benefit -- must register at the link provided
in an email to all student members, once conference registration is open.
To qualify for this
benefit:
·you must be
enrolled in an EMS Program at an Iowa College or Training Center
·you must be a student
member of IEMSA --click the "Click Here to Join Now" button below -- and follow the steps to become a member of IEMSA (this is FREE for the 1st year)
"The Voice"-- IEMSA's
Member newsletter. This newsletter provides a preview of IEMSA activities through
updates on EMS-related issues, upcoming events, legislative issues, hot
topics and a valuable continuing education article.
At the end of your FREE Student Membership year, you will
be billed $35 for an "active" individual membership. Once your dues
are paid, and you are an active paid individual IEMSA Member you will have the right to vote at IEMSA election, the
right to hold office on the Board of Directors, a substantial discount on
registration for the Annual Conference and Trade Show, discounts on
merchandise, a $10,000 Accidental Death and Dismemberment Insurance policy (FREE),
continued subscription of "The Voice" and more.
IEMSA Student Scholarship Program:
Individual Student Scholarships: The Iowa EMS Association is offering scholarships for
individuals wishing to pursue or further their EMS education.
IEMSA will award (2) $ 500
scholarships each year to individuals that are pursuing a
certificate for EMR, EMT, AEMT or PARAMEDIC. IEMSA members and direct
family of IEMSA members will be given preference. Scholarship recipients
will be contacted individually and announced at the Annual IEMSA
Conference & Trade Show.
NEW! (6) $1,000
Scholarships to be awarded yearly to (6) Students – one from each IEMSA
Region that
is enrolled in a current IEMSA Affiliate Training
Center. Announcement and presentation of these Scholarship Award
Recipients will be each year at the Annual IEMSA Conference.
Deadline for applications is June 1st each
year. We encourage you to
